The Bing Maps Facebook tab gets a face-lift

Earlier today, the Bing Maps Tab on Bing’s Facebook page got a major overhaul. The new content makes the tab a great resource to keep up to date with Bing Maps and experience our product. We focused the tab on four areas:

  • Map Apps – Each map app is great, but their individual values are amplified when used together. We created three scenarios where multiple map apps would be helpful. Bing Maps helps you plan a night out on the town with local business directories, local events, and  gas prices. Shopping trips are made a little easier with local retail locations, sales tax maps, and live traffic information. And if you’re planning a night in, create custom destination maps, estimate the cost of a taxi, and discover what’s happening nearby.
  • User Education – We want to make sure users know about all the ways they can use Bing Maps. The “Did You Know” section currently has 10 features people can try out. As we launch new features, we’ll add them to this list.
  • Directions – Users can get driving, walking, or public transit directions directly from the Bing Maps tab.
  • Developers – Direct links are provided to the Bing Maps developer pages on Microsoft.com to get more information on developing using Bing Maps.

Screenshots are below, but check it out live and become a fan of Bing if you aren’t already.
